After returning from the workshop, we immediately held a meeting for a brainstorming session. Each of us were spilling out all kinds of ideas and proposals, mostly for our project statement. We also discussed about which locations were the most suitable to work on. All of our research was based on the Problem Methodology Guide.
After coming up with our project statement, we conducted an observation on 3 March 2017, on a few proposed locations we thought would be suitable for our project. Some of the locations included Taman Cendana and Kampung Bukit Beruang. We snapped photos of the problem areas in the sites, which we would evaluate later on.
1.3 INTERVIEW RESIDENTS
With our 3 main sites decided, we divided into groups and went to each site to interview the residents. We asked them if they knew about the 3Rs and if they practised it in their daily lives. Other than that, we also asked them about the system of waste separation in their neighbourhoods. With the information we obtained, we were able to gain more insight on where to go next with our project.
1.4 MEETING WITH SPECIFIC AUTHORITIES
We held a meeting with our school's YDP PIBG, JKKK and Ketua Kampung Kg. Bukit Beruang, and Tuan Imam Masjid Tun Syed Ahmad Al-Haj, Bukit Beruang. We explained to them about our project and they were more than glad to help.
