1. Program is open to all Public, Private and International Secondary schools in Malaysia. The video proposal needs to be uploaded on Instagram of the team leader’s account and/or team member’s account with hashtag ‘mytoyotaecoyouth2019’ and ‘toyotamalaysia’ in the caption and once uploaded, place the link of the video into Toyota Eco Youth (TEY) webpage (ecoyouth.toyota.com.my) for submission.
  2. The video proposal must be the original creation of the Team. Each school is allowed to submit more than one video proposals. The video time limit is from one (1) to three (3) minutes (no longer than 3 minutes) in MP4 format (only). Video resolution recommended at 1080p HD and above, minimum resolution of 720p HD. The dialogue may be in Bahasa Melayu or English.
  3. Only TWELVE (12) proposals will be selected to the next round. Only a maximum of four (4) students from each of the shortlisted teams will be representing the team in the Toyota Eco Youth 2019’s boot camp and final program. However, we do not limit the number of team members per project as we understand some projects require more members for implementation.
  4. All video submissions by each team and school that meets the T&C and criteria given will receive electronic certification. Only the shortlisted will received national level certification. Any video submission that does not comply with the requirements or any other terms herein shall not receive certification.
  5. Videos shall not contain any profanity, nudity, pornographic images or explicit sexual themes, graphic violence, defamatory or libellous statements or material considered illegal. Videos containing any such aspects and/or that are in violation of any applicable law or otherwise deemed by UMW Toyota Malaysia, in its sole discretion, to be inappropriate will be disqualified. Videos which infringe on any intellectual property rights or other rights will also be disqualified in the sole discretion of UMW Toyota Malaysia.
  6. Each video is an original work which is under no restriction, contractual or otherwise, which will prevent UMW Toyota Malaysia’s use of the film and that all films are free of any and all liens, encumbrances and claims of third parties. Participant acknowledges, agrees and warrants that, except as permitted in paragraph 4 above, nothing in the film infringes on any intellectual property rights including but not limited to copyrights or trademarks, or violates any person's rights of privacy or publicity and that all necessary releases, licences, and permissions have been secured by the Team.
  7. The video shall not include confidential information, trade secrets, trademarks or copyrighted material belonging to any person or entity other than the Team save and except where the Team has acquired a suitable license, clearance or permission agreement (proof of which is required upon submission).
  8. Teams are responsible for securing necessary permissions, talent and location releases and licenses for visual and audio material contained in the submissions. Teams shall only use original music created for their video or music that is in the public domain. No other music may be used.
  9. Each Team, as the original creators of the video, will retain complete ownership of the video. Teams warrant that they hold all rights (including intellectual property rights) in and to the animation(s)/image(s)/material(s) in the animation and/or film sequences submitted. Each Team grant to UMW Toyota Malaysia a perpetual, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license ("License") to use, reproduce, edit, distribute, publish, broadcast, stream, make derivative works of and otherwise exploit in any manner and to authorize third parties to use, reproduce, edit, distribute, publish, broadcast, stream, make derivative works of and otherwise exploit in any manner the videos, including without limitation broadcasting the videos on ecoyouth.toyota.com.my and/or in connection with any activities carried out by UMW Toyota Malaysia and/or its affiliated companies.
  10. Any entry that does not comply with the above requirements or any other terms herein shall be disqualified.
